In association with Abacus Specialist Bathroom Solutions, Adam Ferry, Occupational Therapist, will be presenting a CPD seminar entitled ‘Exploration of medical and functionally focused bathing’ at the OT Show (Innovation Theatre, NEC, 24th and 25th November 2021).

Synopsis

This CPD session looks to support reflection on the bathing assessment process, through discussion about bathing in relation to why and in what circumstances we recommend or dismiss bathing adaptations as reasonable and practicable.  The session covers specific medical diagnosis, mental health, and occupation focused bathing to address common pre-conceptions and their implications in practice.

  • Consider the impact of specific medical conditions on bathing
  • Critically analyse the application of occupational therapy core beliefs
  • Understand the relationship between bathing and occupational performance
