Overview
Adapting a client’s bathroom to improve accessibility should be balanced with considering function and an aesthetically pleasing environment, this webinar will look at how we can work in collaboration with our clients to create a functional bathroom that also meets their personal style, within the financial constraints we may be working within.
Learning outcomes:
- Explain the importance and evidence for balancing functionality and style in accessible bathroom design.
- Describe collaborative design approaches that involve clients and their family in the adaptation process
- Review the assessment process for accessible bathroom adaptations, including practical and design aspects.

Kate Sheehan has been practising as an occupational therapist for thirty-nine years, she is a Fellow of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists and is highly respected within the healthcare community, recognised for her exceptional knowledge and expertise.
She is renowned for her client-centred approach, consistently demonstrating her dedication to empowering clients, creating accessible environments with her key focus being on enhancing occupational engagement.
