Abacus total bathroom solutions deliver highlight at OT Show

Abacus Specialist Bathroom Solutions has successfully showcased its accessible bathrooms, baths and Abacus Academy at the Occupational Therapy Show 2025.

Winner of three OT Show awards, Abacus are a respected specialist in baths, bathrooms and wet rooms for individuals with disabilities. At this year’s show, its stand included a complete wet room display which was supported by three of its most popular baths – the Gemini MX, Aries 2000 and Libra. Together they highlighted Abacus’ capabilities to deliver it all – from power assisted baths and wash-dry toilets, to wheelchair accessible showers and variable height sinks.

Andy Williams, Sales and Marketing Director, Gainsborough Healthcare Group, comments:

“Thank you to the whole Abacus team for making our OT Show showcase so rewarding for delegates. We had countless comments throughout the show about how aesthetically pleasing and non-clinical our higher-dependency bathroom solutions looked and how insightful our CPD sessions were in terms of OT practice. We set out to remind healthcare professionals that we’re not only a world-class bath manufacturer, but a specialist bathroom solution provider and educator – and we absolutely delivered that message.”

Abacus Product Assessment Managers were busy on both days discussing individual caseloads with occupational therapists and how specific bathrooms fixtures and fittings can deliver personalised, positive outcomes.

Alongside the equipment displays, stand D25 hosted a series of well attended express CPD sessions in association with The Occupational Therapy Service. Part of the Abacus Academy, these seminars were presented by Adam Ferry OT and all attendees qualified for a free CPD certificate and reflective log. Feedback from delegates was positive for all sessions; however, the seminar entitled “Bathing and seizure safety: Why specialist baths matter for people with epilepsy” was the most popular.
