Overview
This webinar explores how English legislation can be used as an enabling framework for high-quality, person-centred adaptation practice. It will consider how occupational therapists can use legislative duties and professional reasoning to make bathroom recommendations that are lawful, proportionate, cost effective and responsive to long-term need.
Learning outcomes:
- Understand the key legislation and policies relating to bathroom adaptations
- Apply legislative knowledge alongside clinical reasoning to develop proportionate and cost-effective recommendations.
- Recognise how legislation can support, rather than restrict, holistic and client-centred occupational therapy practice.
- Challenge blanket statements or local practices that may not reflect individual assessed bathing need.
