An Occupational Therapist’s view

Aries baths are an excellent choice for clients with a range of conditions as they are available in a choice of 1700mm, 1800mm and 2000mm lengths. The extra length and width of the largest model, the Aries 2000, facilitates bather growth making it a cost effective, future proofed solution. Where space is limited or bathroom environments have more convention space restrictions, then the smaller Aries 1700 and Aries 1800 will be more suitable.

The height-adjusting feature is perfect for a carer’s posture, client dignity and also facilitating better communication through direct eye contact at an appropriate level.

When the bath is raised it allows mobile hoists to be used where the space is available, potentially allowing you to delay grant requests for ceiling track systems if adaptation budgets are stretched. Remember that this relies on an individual, client centred and holistic risk assessment.
