Ryan brings a wealth of healthcare experience to Abacus with previous roles in diabetes diagnostics and audiology. His successful approach that supported nurses, GPs, CCGs and consultants for over 10 years will be replicated at Abacus to the benefit of Occupational Therapists. Equally his considered and compassionate attitude will help end users achieve positive outcomes in terms of safe assisted bathing.

Ryan comments:

“I was compelled to join Abacus as its bathing solutions impressed me so much. It seemed a natural progression for me to further my career from fast moving assisted audio technology to accessible bathing innovation. I am delighted to have been appointed and would like to thank the Abacus team for being so welcoming. The culture at Abacus is refreshing – there is a real team attitude so you never feel alone on the road. The other Regional Assessment Managers continue to be so supportive and the product training has been excellent.”

Ryan continues:

“Only four weeks in, I am already appreciating the life changing journey Abacus customers experience when specialist baths are introduced at home. It is fantastic to be part of this story and to make a difference, I go home extremely satisfied each week. The Occupational Therapists I have connected with have also been very positive which must be testament to the quality of the brand. I intend to deliver a consistent and reliable service to all Occupational Therapists and families, as I have done throughout my working life. I believe in always going the extra mile and take pride in a diligent approach.”

“From a commercial point of view the continued popularity of Abacus baths is clear to see with a strong pipeline of enquiries and orders, which I will be fulfilling as efficiently as possible. Now more than ever our bathing solutions are critical for health, hygiene and wellbeing in the community. They reduce reliance on carers and the risk of injury so pressure on the NHS can be eased.”

As with the other Abacus Regional Assessment Managers, Ryan has been equipped with a demonstration vehicle that houses a selection of Abacus baths in a bathroom setting. This vehicle provides a convenient opportunity for professionals and consumers to test and trial powered assisted baths with height adjustment and transfer seats. Whether individual client assessments or group seminars are needed, Ryan can facilitate a demonstration platform at any location. Equally online webinars can be broadcast from the vehicle providing a Covid-19 risk-free alternative.

Ryan concludes:

“I would encourage all Occupational Therapists and families in my area to get in contact so we can discuss the most appropriate bathing solutions for individual clients or relatives. My demonstration vehicle is a huge asset for all seeking appropriate accessible bathing as it provides a safe environment to try baths wherever and whenever is convenient. My mission is to position Abacus as first choice for trusted assisted bathing solutions with everyone I meet.”

Outside of work Ryan is busy with his four small children and keeping fit. When possible he trains at the gym and has completed several ‘Tough Mudder’ type endurance events for charity.
