We will be highlighting our new assisted bathing courses for professionals and demonstrating our Gemini height-adjustable platform bath at Rise 4 Disability South East.
18th September 2018. Kent Showground, Maidstone, Kent. ME14 3JF. Stand C7. Free admission and parking.
Rise 4 Disability provides the opportunity for visitors to see the latest assistive products and services and attend a range of educational seminars.
On stand C7, Abacus Regional Assessment Managers will be able to provide details of our new Abacus CPD bathing courses available throughout the UK. Presented by Kate Sheehan, Occupational Therapist, these free to attend courses focus on ‘A client-centred approach to bathing’ and ‘Bathing as part of 24-hour postural management’ – offering vital information for OTs, Moving and Handling Practitioners and Physiotherapists. Professional visitors can also collect details regarding free Abacus ‘Lunch and Learn’ workshops which include the latest techniques for safe moving and handling in the bathroom.
The accessible Gemini bath to be displayed at Rise 4 Disability provides a safe and comfortable bathing experience through its unique ‘double lift’ action and integrated changing, drying and bathing platform. A leading choice for families and paediatric OTs, our Gemini eliminates many challenging manual transfer processes in and out of the bath and provides safer working heights for carers.
Families, carers and healthcare professionals attending the show will be able to discuss individual specialist bathing needs on a one-to-one basis with our Regional Assessment Managers. There will also be a range of free literature available detailing bath funding, case studies and the ownership process. Plus for fun, there will be the chance for children, parents and paediatric healthcare professionals to enter a free prize draw to win a cuddly version of our company mascot ‘Trevor the Turtle’.
